Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Clifton Stanley (ranked 25662 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pete Tromet (ranked 6728 p4p, 0 weight class). Pete Tromet will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Clifton Stanley!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Pete Tromet!
The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Frank Dennis and Gwen Towbar.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tromet throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Tromet defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Stanley.
Pete Tromet seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
No joy there for Stanley, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Tromet tries to clinch there but Stanley circles away.
Stanley fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Tromet misses with a takedown attempt

and Stanley counters with a nice double leg into half guard.

Stanley seems to be working for a kimura but Tromet defends the submission attempt.
Tromet makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Tromet.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Tromet looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Tromet utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Tromet is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
Stanley might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Stanley decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

Stanley tries for a takedown but Tromet sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

Tromet is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Stanley's half guard.
Stanley is breathing heavily.

Tromet decides to stand up.

Tromet drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Tromet's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

Stanley is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.

Tromet is trying to get an arm triangle but Stanley is defending well.
Tromet wants to lay and pray for a moment but Stanley keeps working.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Stanley squirming around on the bottom, looking to escape.
Stanley takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.

Tromet is standing up out of mount! Strange tactic there - he must really want this one on the feet!
Tromet tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Stanley swivels and escapes.
Stanley takes a swing at Tromet's ribcage but misses.
Tromet wants to clinch up but Stanley keeps it at a distance.
Tromet defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Stanley.

Tromet fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Stanley, pushing him back against the cage.

Tromet pulls guard successfully.

Tromet has his feet on Stanley's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Tromet throws a front kick that sends Stanley stumbling back into the cage.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!



Tromet shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Stanley's guard.

Tromet seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Stanley is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Tromet defends well.
Tromet keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Stanley's head.

Tromet not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

Stanley is working an open guard so Tromet takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.

Tromet drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Tromet slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Tromet stays in close to Stanley's body and controls the position.

Tromet stands up over Stanley, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Stanley dips down and scores with a jab to the body.

Tromet stalling here - the referee won't stand for too much of that.
Stanley fails to pull guard.

Stanley gets underhooks to prevent Tromet's takedown attempt.
Stanley jumps guard but Tromet stands there with Stanley around his waist. Stanley gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Tromet creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses.

Stanley cracks the inside of Tromet's front leg.
Tromet tries for a takedown but Stanley sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Tromet looks to land a body kick but Stanley moved away.
As Tromet looks to move away, Stanley throws a big counter combo but Tromet just gets out of the way.

The fight stays on the outside here - Tromet looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Stanley is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Tromet to keep the fight standing.
An uppercut to the body lands inside from Tromet.

Tromet jumps guard and drags Stanley to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.

Stanley is looking to get back to is feet but Tromet passes into side control.

Stanley changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Tromet tries to avoid it but Stanley manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Tromet to the ground. Tromet escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Clifton Stanley. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Tromet has managed to clinch.
Stanley is trying to pull guard but Tromet has him pressed against the cage.
Tromet tries a knee to the head but he's missed.
Stanley tries to pull guard but Tromet holds him up against the cage and eventually Stanley drops back down to his feet.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Tromet is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Stanley gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.

Tromet breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Tromet tries to clinch but Stanley is having none of it.

Tromet looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Stanley!

Stanley is looking to regain half guard here but Tromet keeps moving and retains side control.
Tromet trying to control the position but Stanley is working away.
Pete Tromet has got the better of the ground game so far.
Tromet is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.
Tromet advances nicely into full mount.

Tromet stands up from mount. Strange move.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Stanley looks for a takedown but Tromet sprawls well.
Stanley will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Tromet wants to counter the offense by Stanley and move into the clinch position.
Stanley keeps the fight on the outside.
Tromet tries to clinch up but Stanley circles away and keeps his distance.

Tromet bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Stanley wants to get back to his feet but Tromet is dominant here and he's now got Stanley's back!
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
A bit of a pause in the action here. Tromet controlling the positon.
Clifton Stanley has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Pete Tromet is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.

I've got Tromet winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
