Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Peter Strange (ranked 25622 p4p, 0 weight class) and James Knight (ranked 5127 p4p, 0 weight class). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 10 - 0, fighting out of London, Peter Strange!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, James Knight!
The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, James Ackerman and Paul Tew.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Knight moves into range and clinches up with Strange.

Knight gets a trip takedown into half guard.
Knight wants to pass to mount but Strange is defending the position.
Knight stalling.
Strange works his way to full guard. Good work.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Knight tries to free his leg and advance position but Strange is retaining full guard.
Knight is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.

Knight slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Strange might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Strange wants to sweep but no luck.
Knight pushes down on Strange's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Strange is trying to maintain the position but Knight is very close to passing his half guard.

Knight takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Knight has closed the distance and engaged Strange in a clinch.
Strange is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.

Knight lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.
Knight tries to pass to full mount but Strange defends it.
Knight is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.

Strange looking for submissions off his back.

James Knight dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.



Excellent takedown into side control there by Knight.
Knight is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.

Knight postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Knight just misses with a punch to the body.
Strange is looking to counter the offense by Knight and move into the clinch.

Knight drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.

Knight tries to advance to mount but can't.
Strange gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

James Knight showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!



Knight shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Knight showed some decent athleticism there.

Let's hope that Knight has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Peter Strange has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
James Knight is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.

Knight tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Strange defends well and Knight ends up having to push Strange into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
