Coming up we have a heavyweight kickboxing rules bout between Elvis Astrok (ranked 4762 p4p, 532 weight class) and Zack Dio (ranked 10687 p4p, 848 weight class). Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the prize buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Astrok blocks a head kick by Dio.
Astrok ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Dio takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Astrok lands with a shot to the body.
Dio takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards.
Astrok throws a nice inside leg kick.
Dio tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Astrok was well out of range. Poor timing from Dio.

Dio moves in looking to clinch but Astrok pushes him off.
Astrok has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Blackthorn Reborn - Trinity in the buildup to the fight.

Dio is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Astrok thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Dio if he has to take too many more of those.

Astrok paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.

and Astrok counters with a solid body kick.

Dio ducks right into an uppercut from Astrok.

Dio's coach down at White's ELITE Fitness Gym was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Dio's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Dio moves out of range of the strikes.
Dio replies with a solid counter kick to the body but Astrok blocks it well.
Astrok throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Astrok fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Dio has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

Dio instigates a clinch.
Dio is trying to maintain a safe position but Astrok gets an underhook and turns Dio into the ropes.

The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Dio tries to close the distance and clinch up against the ropes but Astrok paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Astrok is looking to slow Dio down with leg kicks.
Astrok lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Astrok swats away the attempt to clinch by Dio.
A quick step to the side and Astrok tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect.

Dio's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down.
Dio motions for Astrok to come forward. Dio throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.

Astrok feints and then cracks Dio's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Dio down.

Dio throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Astrok sees it coming and avoids it easily.

A shot to the liver by Astrok. Beautiful body shot.
Dio tries to close the distance and clinch but Astrok swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Astrok scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Dio doesn't seem bothered though.

It really doesn't seem like the step up in weight is hurting Astrok here at all. He's more than holding his own against the bigger man.

Dio has developed a nice purple lump on his ribcage, as a result of some heavy body kicks from Astrok.

Dio has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Astrok finds it's way round the side to connect with Dio's head.

Astrok connects with a quick right hand that sends Dio tumbling backwards onto the canvas! As his head bounces into the ropes, it doesn't look good for him beating the count! 3,4,5,6,7 and he's up! No, he's back down again! This one is all over - the referee has called off the fight!
