Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Hugo Wolf (ranked 4734 p4p, 434 weight class) and Dean Fellows (ranked 4613 p4p, 429 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 29 - 22 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Hugo Wolf!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 12 - 1, fighting out of London, Dean Fellows!
The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, James Ackerman and Phil Schofield.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fellows moves into range and connects with a jab.
Wolf shoots in for a takedown but Fellows shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Wolf shoots in looking for a takedown but Fellows manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Wolf's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Wolf shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Fellows defends it nicely.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Hugo Wolf. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Wolf closes the distance and clinches up with Fellows, looking for a takedown. Wolf pushes Fellows against the cage but Fellows circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Fellows lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.
Fellows throws a punch but it's blocked by Wolf.
Fellows tries to work over Wolf's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.

Wolf drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Fellows gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Fellows's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Fellows digs a good body shot into Wolf's ribs.

Fellows lands a nice elbow from the clinch.

Wolf pulls guard effortlessly.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Wolf has a closed guard, preventing Fellows from standing up.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Fellows got a little sloppy there for a moment and Wolf has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Fellows has managed to get both his arms back between Wolf's legs - danger averted.
Fellows wants to pass the guard but Wolf is keeping the position.
Fellows stays in close to Wolf's body and controls the position.
Wolf not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Wolf is really struggling to control Fellows but he's trying to hold on to the position.

Fellows slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Wolf has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
Fellows wanted to stand there but Wolf had control of the position.

Fellows must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Wolf is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Wolf drops an elbow to the side of Fellows's head.
Wolf takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Wolf slips a nice elbow through Fellows's hands, connecting with Fellows's forehead.

Fellows is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Wolf scores with a couple of nice shots.

Wolf is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Fellows sees it coming and defends easily.
Fellows is looking for a sweep. Wolf is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Fellows gets back to full guard.
Fellows is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Wolf lands a couple of digs.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Hugo Wolf dominated that round.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!


Wolf tries to clinch but Fellows is having none of it.
Wolf goes for a double leg but Fellows avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Fellows continues to drive forward.
Wolf closes this distance looking for a takedown but Fellows circles away.

Fellows throws an elbow but it's blocked.
Fellows is defending well against a takedown attempt.

Wolf manages to break the clinch.

Wolf on the wrong end of a nice hook.
Wolf fails with a takedown attempt.
Fellows throws a leg kick but Wolf sees it coming and moves out of range.

Fellows lands a big uppercut and Wolf crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Wolf looks OK. Fellows waves Wolf back to his feet!


Wolf is rocked!
Fellows has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Wolf is landing a low percentage of strikes.
Wolf drops his hands momentarily. Fellows doesn't need a second invitation, landing a shot to the temple. Wolf staggers and falls to the mat and the ref dives in to save him from any more punishment. Wolf doesn't seem happy with the stoppage but he was done.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:45 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Dean Fellows!
