PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tormund Giantsbane (ranked 1792 p4p, 219 weight class) and Mauler Jackman (ranked 1879 p4p, 230 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jackman connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.

Giantsbane shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Jackman is trying to defend but Giantsbane finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Jackman is in a world of trouble here. He's outmatched on the ground here and he'd better get Giantsbane off his back sharpish unless he wants to be submitted.

Giantsbane is throwing strikes from the back here. Oh that last one was to the back of the head. Giantsbane gets a warning from the referee. He throws another strike to the back of the head straight away though and the referee has seen enough. He breaks up the two fighters and stands them back up. Giantsbane gets a real talking to here and is lucky not to get a point deducted. Giantsbane apologises and we restart here on the feet.

That has opened up Mauler Jackman's cut even more.
