Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Ace Rob (ranked 3384 p4p, 351 weight class) and Keyser Soze (ranked 2670 p4p, 279 weight class). Keyser Soze will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Ace Rob!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Keyser Soze!
The judges for this bout are Franklyn Lucas, Columbo Gatti and Joseph Jones.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Soze scores with a jab to the body.
Rob has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
A slapping body kick lands there for Soze.
Soze lands a glancing blow to the side of Rob's head.
A punch lands to the side of Rob 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Rob misses with a lunging right hand
and Soze counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Soze throws a low kick but Rob moves out of range easily.
A big left from Rob misses.
Soze feints and then cracks Rob's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Rob down.
Soze ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Rob misses with a hook. Soze ducked under it nicely.
Soze appeared to try and counter that last move with a leg kick.
Soze moves out of range of the leg kick from Rob.
Soze thinks about the counter body kick.
A nice leg kick lands there from Soze.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Soze fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Rob manages to avoid it.
Soze throws a leg kick which misses Rob's front leg but catches the back leg as Rob tries to avoid it.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Rob looks to land a right hand but Soze moved out of range.
Soze slips under a jab from Rob.
Soze is clearly looking to counter with head kicks.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Soze pushes Rob back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.
Rob is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Soze is defending well.

Rob breaks the clinch.
Rob shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Soze but Soze pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Soze throws a big counter head kick but Rob avoids it with no problem.
A chopping leg kick lands by Soze.
Soze thows a left - swing and a miss!

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Soze throws a body kick that misses

and Rob counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Rob with a flurry of punches that miss.
Soze working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Rob.
Soze is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.
Soze preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Rob wants to control from the top but Soze keeps moving.
Soze really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Rob. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Soze is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

Keyser Soze is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
A chopping leg kick lands by Soze.
Soze scores with a leg kick.
Rob doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Soze counters with a nice uppercut.

Rob is rocked!
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ace Rob. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Soze lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Oh Rob is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Soze lands with a thumping leg kick.
Rob walks right into a perfectly timed right hook and goes down hard! He's out cold! The ref cradles Rob limp body while Soze jumps on to the cage and waves to the roaring crowd. Wow that was just a brutal knockout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:41 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Keyser Soze!
In his post fight interview, Keyser Soze gave a big smile as he said 'I may not have deserved this shot; but I damn sure made the most of it. Hiroshi Ekaku; you took my undefeated record, I'm coming to take your belt!'.
