Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Adan Mcknight!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Robin Cook!
The judges for this bout are Paul Aken, Daniel Blasius and Saam Ante.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Cook has taken the fight to the clinch.
Mcknight lands a knee to the body.
Cook prevents Mcknight from breaking the clinch.
Cook displaying some good clinch control by pressing Mcknight up against the cage.
Mcknight could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Cook jumps into guard, dragging Mcknight to the mat.

Mcknight drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Cook manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Mcknight has Cook in his guard.

Cook throws an elbow that misses. Mcknight uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Cook's guard. Nice move by Mcknight!

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Mcknight is fighting to break Cook's control of his arms but Cook is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.

Cook drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Mcknight dives on top into guard.

Cook pulls Mcknight in close to his closed guard and prevents Mcknight from doing any damage or advancing position.

Mcknight drops back, looking for a kneebar! Cook looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Cook looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Cook!

Mcknight is looking to regain half guard here but Cook keeps moving and retains side control.
Cook is staying tight to Mcknight's torso, preventing him from escaping.
Cook throwing strikes but Mcknight manages to buck up and roll into a nice reversal - now he's on top in side control!
Cook tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Mcknight presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Mcknight is standing up out of mount! Strange tactic there - he must really want this one on the feet!
Cook throws a right and a left that Mcknight avoids nicely.

Cook comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Cook throws a wild combination but nothing lands.

Cook drives through with a takedown into Mcknight's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.

Cook throws a big elbow that misses.
Cook postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Cook throws an elbow that misses. Mcknight uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Cook's guard. Nice move by Mcknight!

Cook is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

The fighters are working up against the cage. Cook manages to wriggle his way back to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched against the cage.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Mcknight looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Cook scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!


It looks like Adan Mcknight has been cut.
Mcknight avoids a punch combination nicely.
Mcknight is trying to close the distance and clinch up, after that failed offence from Cook.
A combination from Cook does no damage.
Mcknight takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Robin Cook seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Cook will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Mcknight up against the cage.

Cook manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Mcknight on his heels. He'll look to pass Mcknight's guard now, I'm sure.

The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Cook. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man.

Mcknight shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Cook sprawls well. Cook wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Mcknight gets slowly back to his feet.

Cook shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Mcknight is trying to defend but Cook finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Mcknight tries to lock up and control but Cook gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Cook throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Mcknight because Cook loaded up on that one.

Cook has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Cook rushes Mcknight and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Cook stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Mcknight swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Cook fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Mcknight to the ground. Cook is now in Mcknight's guard.

Robin Cook comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Cook has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
