Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jon Ubereem (ranked 816 p4p, 129 weight class) and Bill Glass (ranked 811 p4p, 127 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the light heavyweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Jon Ubereem!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Bill Glass!
The judges for this bout are Michael Johnstone, Santiago Holmes and Peter Branson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Glass connects with a body shot that sends Ubereem's belly button to the back.
Ubereem cracks a nice hook into Glass's ribs.
Ubereem fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Ubereem ducks right into an uppercut from Glass.
Ubereem scores with a decent looking hook.
Ubereem definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Ubereem waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Glass.
Ubereem fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Glass tries to clinch up.
Ubereem lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Glass misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Ubereem.

Glass drives through and clinches with Ubereem against the cage.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Ubereem tries to pull guard but Glass holds him up against the cage and eventually Ubereem drops back down to his feet.
Glass scores with a shoulder strike.
Ubereem jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Glass walks away with a smile on his face. Ubereem gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jon Ubereem. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Glass misses with an uppercut. Ubereem saw that one coming.

The fighters circling - Ubereem throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Ubereem staying out of range there.
Glass moves away from the strike by Ubereem.
Glass lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.


It looks like Jon Ubereem has been cut.

Ubereem lands a really nice looking cross but Glass seems unphased.

Jon Ubereem seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Glass feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Ubereems jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Ubereem jumps guard but Glass stands there with Ubereem around his waist. Ubereem gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Glass scores with a nice hook to the head.
Ubereem is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Glass to keep the fight standing.
Glass lands an elbow inside.
Glass lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Ubereem backwards.


Jon Ubereem's cut is getting worse.
Ubereem jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Glass walks away with a smile on his face. Ubereem gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Glass swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Glass uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Ubereem.
Ubereem sets himself, and Glass steps forward looking for the clinch! Ubereem avoids it this time.
Ubereem scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
Ubereem looks to land a right hand but Glass moved out of range.
Glass ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Glass looks to score with a jab to the body but Ubereem is just out of range.
Ubereem appears to be looking for a counter punch to the body.

Nice jab there from Ubereem.

Glass darts in and clinches Ubereem up against the cage.
A nice left hand lands by Glass.
Ubereem is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Glass to keep the fight standing.
Ubereem tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Glass smiles and moves away.

Ubereem drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.

Ubereem working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Glass can't do much from the bottom here.
We've been informed that Glass has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.
Glass really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Ubereem. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Ubereem wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Glass, who protects the arm well.

Ubereem tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Ubereem has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Glass tries to buck Ubereem off but Ubereem is having none of it.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Bill Glass will probably get the nod.

Ubereem works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.

During a confident post fight interview, Bill Glass thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
