Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Aliiii Donnnn (ranked 6419 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ranga Doom (ranked 8513 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Donnnn clinches up with Doom and pushes him back against the cage.
Nice elbow from Donnnn.
Doom looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.

Donnnn breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Doom tries a head kick but it misses.
A little feinted left hand from Donnnn on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
Donnnn avoids a low kick by using good footwork.
Doom ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Donnnn moves away.

and Donnnn counters into the clinch. Nicely done.

Donnnn jumps guard and drags Doom to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Doom is fighting to break Donnnn's control of his arms but Donnnn is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
Donnnn wants to get back to his feet but Doom is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Donnnn is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Donnnn seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
Doom is trying to stand.
Doom really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Donnnn. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Donnnn winds up and cracks Doom with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Doom wants to improve his position but Donnnn is controlling well.
Doom has hold of Donnnn's hands but Donnnn slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.

The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Donnnn lands a nice short elbow.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Donnnn connects with a nice short shot to Doom's temple.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Doom has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Donnnn is working away from the top position though.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Doom is looking to stand up but Donnnn isn't so interested in that idea.

Donnnn lands a big shot there that rocks Doom but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
Doom is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.
Donnnn pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Doom is in a horrible position here. Donnnn smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
