Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Josef Frost (ranked 25533 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mariancho Raine (ranked 6369 p4p, 0 weight class). Raine has chosen Unravel as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Mariancho Raine has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 6 - 0, fighting out of London, Josef Frost!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Mariancho Raine!
The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, Chris Edwards and Richard Clark.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Raine throws a mid kick that lands with a slap.
Raine shoots in for a double leg but Frost sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Raine misses with a head kick.

A quick step to the side and Frost tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect.
Frost tries to close the distance and clinch but Raine swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Frost will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Raine with the counter takedown but Frost avoids it easily.

Raine takes the fight into the clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Frost is trying to stall.
Frost tries to land a knee to the head but misses.

The pace really dropping off here, momentarily.
Frost is looking to break free of the clinch but Raine has double underhooks.
Frost tries to break the clinch but Raine is controlling the position.
Raine effectively controlling the action here.
Raine is trying to drag Frost to the mat but Frost just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Josef Frost has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mariancho Raine.
Raine prevents Frost from breaking the clinch.
Frost effectively controlling the action here.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Raine on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Frost wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Raine has him pressed against the cage.

Raine breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Raine keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Frost looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Raine is fending him off so far but Frost persists. Nope, Raine circles away and we're back to standing.
Frost showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Raine.

Raine fails with the takedown.

Raine clinches up with Frost and pushes him back against the cage.
Frost blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.
Frost is trying to force a seperation but Raine has the dominant position.

Raine escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Frost tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Raine defends well and Frost ends up having to push Raine into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Frost closes the distance and clinches up with Raine, looking for a takedown. Frost pushes Raine against the cage but Raine circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Raine scores with a head kick.


It looks like Josef Frost has been cut.
Raine misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Frost slips a jab and a cross from Raine.
Raine pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Frost tries to counter by clinching up but Raine breaks away and moves out of range.

Frost gets tackled into the cage by Raine. Raine maintains the clinch.
Raine is pressed up against the cage. Frost has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Raine down to the mat. Raine avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Raine throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
Raine throws a 1-2 combo that connects squarely on Frost's jaw, knocking him onto his back! Raine dives in looking to finish as Frost flails his arms in a desperate attempt to block Raine's strikes! Raine is raining down hammerfists and the ref stops it! Frost's desperate flailing just didn't constitute intelligent defence. Some people will probably question the ref's decision but Frost was definitely hurt and the ref saved him from taking unnecessary punishment. A fighter's safety is paramount in this sport.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Mariancho Raine!
Mariancho Raine decided to thank the fans in attendance for making a great atmosphere. It seemed to go down pretty well.
