Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Teddy Sampson (ranked 8449 p4p, 0 weight class) and Green Getta (ranked 4692 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Teddy Sampson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Green Getta!
The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, Colin Fotheringham and William Gold.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Getta shoots in for a takedown but Sampson shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Getta shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Sampson defends it nicely.
Getta buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Getta moves away from the strike by Sampson.
Getta tries for a takedown but Sampson sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Teddy Sampson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Green Getta.
Getta throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Sampson fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Green Getta seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Sampson wants to sweep here but Getta controlling him for the moment.

That was a close round but I would say that Teddy Sampson will probably get the nod.

It looked like Sampson was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.

Sampson goes for a double leg but Getta avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Getta continues to drive forward.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Sampson wants to get back to his feet.
Sampson works his way to full guard. Good work.
Sampson tries to land a sweep but no joy.

Sampson is working an open guard so Getta takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Getta misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Sampson swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect.

Getta connects with a good right hand that stumbles Sampson. Sampson circles away out of range and recomposes himself.

Getta misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Sampson is looking for a counter combo.
Getta shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Sampson pinned against the cage. Sampson gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
A quick step to the side and Sampson tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect.
No luck for Sampson with that takedown attempt.

Getta just manages to avoid a counter high kick fromSampson.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Sampson stuffs the takedown attempt from Getta. Getta gets slowly back to his feet.
Getta misses with a head kick.
Sampson feinted there with a counter leg kick.
Getta fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Getta tries to keep at a distance but Sampson has taken the fight into the clinch.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that Teddy Sampson will probably get the nod.

Getta tries to score a power double leg takedown but Sampson sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Getta somewhat.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Sampson drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Getta dives on top into guard.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Sampson accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Sampson makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Sampson lands a couple of digs.

Sampson is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Teddy Sampson overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Teddy Sampson showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Sampson, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
