Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Roger Theodore!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Brian Dann!
The judges for this bout are Emerson Jorge, Luis Engracia and Edson Gomes.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dann throws a head kick that misses.

Dann pushes Theodore up against the cage in a clinch.
Theodore tries to break the clinch but Dann is controlling the position.
Theodore misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Dann.
Theodore jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Dann walks away with a smile on his face. Theodore gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Dann throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Theodore's waist but Theodore gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Dann off to one side.

Dann closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Theodore is looking to improve his position.

Theodore is looking to get back to is feet but Dann passes into side control.
Theodore takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
Theodore tries to bench press Dann off him but Dann keeps the position.
Dann staying calm.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Theodore wants to control but Dann postures up.
Dann controlling from side mount.

Dann lands an elbow.
Dann cracks Theodore with a big right hand but Theodore just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
Dann happy to just control the position for now.
Theodore looking for a sweep but Dann has passed into full mount! Oh no!
Theodore tries to improve his position but instead Dann has taken his back!

It looks like Dann might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

Dann's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
Dann connects with a series of strikes and the referee is calling for Theodore to escape the position.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Dann biding his time, controlling Theodore.
Dann is continuing to stall.
Theodore grimaces as he takes a shot to the body.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Dann is working for the choke. It looks like he might have got it... has he...? Yes! Theodore is tapping out! This one is all over!
