Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Augusto Mendes (ranked 10180 p4p, 0 weight class) and YeYe Mokami (ranked 4812 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Augusto Mendes has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Augusto Mendes seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mokami throws a hook but Mendes avoids it easily.
Mendes is looking to counter punch.
Mendes throws out a token jab with nothing on it.

Mendes feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Mokami sprawling to the canvas! Mokami rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Mendes finish him?!

It looks like YeYe Mokami has been cut.
Mendes cracks Mokami with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends Mokami tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but Mendes pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Mokami is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:19 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Augusto Mendes!
