The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Litoris cracks Marquez with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Litoris misses with a lunging right hand
and Marquez decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Litoris's guard.
Litoris wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Marquez manages to pass to side control.
Marquez slips a nice elbow through Litoris's hands, connecting with Litoris's forehead.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Litoris is desperately trying to improve his position but Marquez has a good base and remains in mount.
