Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Pierce Ottoade (ranked 4254 p4p, 0 weight class) and Miipe Stiopic (ranked 6409 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ottoade cracks Stiopic with a right hand to the side of the head.

It looks like Miipe Stiopic has been cut.
Stiopic uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Ottoade.
Stiopic fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Ottoade misses the jab.
Ottoade comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Ottoade throws a body shot but no joy.
Ottoade scores with a nice strike.
Ottoade connects with the punch.
Stiopic takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.

and Stiopic counters with a three punch combo that has Ottoade backing up. Ottoade nods at Stiopic to acknowledge the strikes.
Stiopic rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Ottoade moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Stiopic takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Ottoade takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.

Miipe Stiopic's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
Stiopic looks to score with a jab to the body but Ottoade is just out of range.
Stiopic uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Ottoade.

and Stiopic counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Ottoade wants to stand back up but Stiopic manages to pass into side control.
Stiopic creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Ottoade sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Stiopic goes for a double leg but Ottoade avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Ottoade continues to drive forward.
Stiopic will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Ottoade enables Stiopic to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Ottoade manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
