Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Iggy Steve (ranked 4272 p4p, 497 weight class) and Jimmy Cathaway (ranked 4189 p4p, 492 weight class). Steve comes to the cage accompanied by The Vamps-Wake Up. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Steve keeps the fight on the outside.

Cathaway scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Steve is not content to let Cathaway control the position.
Cathaway tries to move into full mount but can't pass Steve's legs.

Cathaway is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Steve knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Steve is pushing Cathaway's head away, looking to escape. Cathaway manages to hold on to the position though.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Cathaway tries to score with some ground and pound. Steve controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.
Steve on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Steve tries to get out of the position.

Cathaway is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Steve looks calm but he's in trouble here. Cathaway gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Steve is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Cathaway lets go of the hold and Steve can pop his arm back in it's socket.
