Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Ari Ahikaroa (ranked 6476 p4p, 655 weight class) and John Franco (ranked 22850 p4p, 852 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Ari Ahikaroa!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, John Franco!
The judges for this bout are Leandro Rodrigues, Seu Braga and Mauricio Rocha.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Franco pushes Ahikaroa away with a front kick.
A jab from Ahikaroa does it's job there.
Franco throws a leg kick but Ahikaroa checks it.
Ahikaroa throws a head kick that misses.

Ahikaroa tries to sprawl but Franco drives through with a takedown into half guard.

Franco is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.

Franco wants to pass the guard but Ahikaroa is defending well.

Franco frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Ahikaroa is in all sorts of trouble here.

Franco jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Ahikaroa manages to avoid the submission attempt.
Ahikaroa seems a little lost for a moment, as Franco dominates the positioning.

Ahikaroa is looking to regain half guard here but Franco keeps moving and retains side control.

Franco looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
Ahikaroa on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Ahikaroa tries to get out of the position.

Franco tries for a kimura but Ahikaroa is defending well.

Franco has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.

Franco clinches up with Ahikaroa and pushes him back against the cage.

John Franco showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

And Franco tries to counter it with a takedown but Ahikaroa pushes his down on his head and steps out.

Franco has control of Ahikaroa's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Ahikaroa regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Franco lands a couple of good shots and Ahikaroa has given up his back, trying to escape the position!

John Franco comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Franco has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
