Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Leigh Thompson (ranked 4513 p4p, 223 weight class) and Marc Buysse (ranked 5927 p4p, 301 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Thompson might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to General Lee - Johnny Cash. Buysse comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Street Fighter II Ryu Theme Original kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! This should be fireworks!

With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Marc Buysse!
The judges for this bout are Saam Ante, Patrick Alders and Radbod Blank.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Buysse will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Buysse tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Thompson defends well and Buysse ends up having to push Thompson into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Thompson seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter.
Buysse should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

It looks like Marc Buysse has been cut.
Leigh Thompson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Marc Buysse.

Buysse walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.

We've been told by Thompson's head coaches at London MMA Club that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.

Thompson scores with a hook to the body. Buysse takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Buysse takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
and Thompson counters with a massive uppercut that badly hurts Buysse! He's just covering up as Thompson starts to tee off till the referee steps in and stops the fight!

Our winner, Leigh Thompson, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
