Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, David Peterman!
The judges for this bout are Nard Betker, Aafke Stam and Paulsen Ambrosius.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Peterman displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Khan throws out the jab.
Khan fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Khan throws a big shot that misses.
Amir Khan seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Khan avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Khan feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Petermans jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!

Khan pushes Peterman up against the cage in a clinch.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Khan creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
A head punch blocked on the inside by Peterman.
Khan fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Khan.
Khan lands a nice uppercut.
Khan works on Peterman's body with a couple of short punches.

Peterman takes a shot to the head.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Khan misses with the head strike.
Khan doesn't land with the attempted body shot.

Khan swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Khan fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
Khan lands a hook that snaps the head of Peterman backwards.
Peterman blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Khan lands an uppercut.
Khan scores with a shoulder strike.
Peterman blocking some punches.
Peterman blocks an uppercut.
A hook to the body from Khan.
Peterman looks winded!
Khan misses with the head strike.
Peterman tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Khan smiles and moves away.
Khan lands a jab.
Amir Khan is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Peterman takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Khan closes the distance and lands a vicious right hand that drops Peterman! Khan dives in looking to finish! Peterman is still trying to defend himself but he's taking too many shots and the referee has no choice but to stop the fight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:12 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Amir Khan!
