Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

The judges for this bout are Dirk Anderson, Peter Branson and David Hoff.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lius doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Snow counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Nice takedown defense from Snow. No joy for Lius on that attempt.
Snow displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Lius.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Snow can do anything to dispel that myth.

Snow is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Snow lands a nice short elbow.

A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Lius holds on and takes a little breather.
Snow tries to free his leg and advance position but Lius is retaining full guard.

Lius escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Snow gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Snow distracts Lius with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
Snow throws a big elbow that misses.
Snow must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Lius not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Mike Snow dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Lius goes for a double leg but Snow avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Snow continues to drive forward.

Lius manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Snow on his heels. He'll look to pass Snow's guard now, I'm sure.

Snow looks up at the clock and then as Lius takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Snow smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Lius is trying to get back to half guard.

Lius is looking to slip a leg under and get half guard but Snow is one step ahead and moves to full mount!
Snow can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Lius is looking to escape.

Lius tries to hold on but Snow pushes him away.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Snow cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Snow is in the full mount, landing strikes.


It looks like Pete Lius has been cut.
Lius tries to lock up and control but Snow gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Lius is looking to get to half guard.
Lius wants to hold on but Snow pushes him away.
Lius is desperately trying to get back to half guard.

Snow is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Lius is surviving well by controlling Snow's body position as best he can.
Snow connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

A very excited looking Mike Snow made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
