Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Vinod Zaaijer (ranked 5680 p4p, 200 weight class) and Tomasz Zahir (ranked 25313 p4p, 327 weight class). Zahir has a niggling injury. He would have liked to come in 100% fit but that's not always possible. Vinod Zaaijer could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Tomasz Zahir's chin.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Mauricio Rocha, Luis Engracia and Matheus Silva.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Zaaijer drops Zahir with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Zahir looks back up at him and smiles so Zaaijer waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.

It looks like Tomasz Zahir has been cut.

Zaaijer drives through and clinches with Zahir against the cage.

Zaaijer pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Zaaijer shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Zaaijer postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Zahir to stand up.

Zaaijer clinches.

Zaaijer breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Zaaijer moves into range and clinches up with Zahir.
Zahir struggles to land a body shot inside as Zaaijer controls his hands.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Zaaijer is trying to trip Zahir. He has hold of a leg but Zahir is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Zaaijer persists though and gets the takedown into guard.
Zahir wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Zaaijer manages to pass to side control.

Zaaijer passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Zahir!

Zahir has left one of his arms exposed and Zaaijer doesn't need a second invitation. He's isolated it and locked on a tight armbar. Zahir screams and taps out, obviously in a lot of pain. Hopefully there isn't permanent damage to that arm.
