The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Jahmir looking to score a takedown here. Hughes is defending well but Jahmir drives through and ends up in Hughes's guard.
Hughes is looking to stand up but Jahmir isn't so interested in that idea.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Jahmir lands a couple of decent looking shots.
Hughes wants to stand up but Jahmir is controlling him.
Jahmir tries to free his leg and advance position but Hughes is retaining full guard.
Jahmir slips nicely into half guard.
Jahmir has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Jahmir has an Americana. Hughes didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Jahmir is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Jahmir hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
