The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Frank Dennis and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tavares tries for a takedown but Hanley sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Tavares looks for a takedown but Hanley sprawls well.
Hanley swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect.
Tavares has taken the fight to the clinch.
Hanley lands a right hand.
Hanley scores with a shoulder strike.
We've been informed that Tavares has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.
Tavares wants a takedown.

Tavares closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Hanley makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work!

Tavares tries to close the distance and clinch up but Hanley swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Hanley bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Tavares tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Hanley manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Tavares displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Hanley throws out the jab.
Hanley jabs Tavares to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Hanley darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Tavares is rocked!
It looks like Djalo Tavares has been cut.
Hanley measures up his opponent and throws a superman punch that connects to the jaw! Down goes Tavares! The ref steps in, and that's the ball game folks!

Quincy Hanley was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
