Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Buddy Dixon (ranked 4677 p4p, 158 weight class) and Nigel Gazelle (ranked 5733 p4p, 208 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Dixon might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Saturday Nights All Right For Fighting. Nigel Gazelle has the eye of the tiger tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Buddy Dixon!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Nigel Gazelle!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Jack Bonds and Don Winkell.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Gazelle closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Dixon quickly recovers to half guard.
Gazelle not doing much here.

Dixon has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but Gazelle is on him like a limpet, forcing Dixon back against the cage.
Dixon lands a left hand.
Dixon is trying to break free.

Gazelle pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Gazelle looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Dixon closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Dixon blocks a punch to the side of the head.

Dixon escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Gazelle is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Dixon.
Gazelle shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Dixon defends it nicely.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Dixon lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Gazelle at a distance.
Dixon leaves Gazelle with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Buddy Dixon has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Nigel Gazelle.

Dixon lands a big uppercut and Gazelle crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Gazelle looks OK. Dixon waves Gazelle back to his feet!

Gazelle is rocked!

It looks like Nigel Gazelle has been cut.
Gazelle looks winded!
I'm just looking down at my notes here and I see that.... oh! Dixon has cracked Gazelle with a big right, followed by a left! He's out on his feet! Dixon lands another huge swinging hook and Gazelle tumbles to the canvas! The ref dives in to save Gazelle, before Dixon can land any more shots!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:29 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Buddy Dixon!
Our winner, Buddy Dixon, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
