The judges for this bout are Patrick Alders, Daniel Blasius and Saam Ante.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Maislin throws a big shot that misses.
The fighters circle momentarily. Overide darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
It looks like Blake Maislin has been cut.
Overide lands a body shot.
Overide misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Maislin.
A jab from Maislin misses.
Overide appears to be looking for a counter punch to the body.
Overide throws a body punch but Maislin moves out of range.
A lazy left from Overide finds it's target.
Maislin tries to clinch there but Overide circles away.
Maislin is looking to clinch.
Overide moves into range and connects with a jab.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Overide, as that shot connected.
Overide works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
That has opened up Blake Maislin's cut even more.
Maislin ducks under a wild hook from Overide.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Overide stuns Maislin with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Overide scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Maislin doesn't seem bothered though.
Manuel Overide seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Overide lands a jab to Maislin's midsection.
Maislin looks winded!
Maislin looks for a takedown but Overide sprawls well.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Overide looks to score with a jab to the body but Maislin is just out of range.
Overide connects with a jab.
Maislin tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Overide was well out of range. Poor timing from Maislin.
Maislin throws a body shot but no joy.
Overide cracks Maislin with an open hand slap.
The cut above Blake Maislin's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
Maislin's coach down at Archon Dojo was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Maislin's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
A leg kick checked by Overide.
Overide throws out a powerful jab.
Overide is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.
Overide drops Maislin with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Maislin looks back up at him and smiles so Overide waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
Maislin is rocked!
Blake Maislin's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
The referee calls the doctor in to look at Blake Maislin's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:38 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Manuel Overide!
