Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jewell Nelson (ranked 25578 p4p, 0 weight class) and Roe Jogan (ranked 6432 p4p, 0 weight class). Roe Jogan has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Jogan closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Jogan lands in his opponent's guard.

Nelson has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the cage to get back to his feet. Jogan has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the cage.

Jogan breaks the clinch.

Jogan drives through with a takedown into guard.

Nelson has his feet on Jogan's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Jogan shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Nelson is trying to defend but Jogan finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Nelson really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Jogan thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Nelson's head.
Nelson is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Jogan's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Jogan's back!
Nelson has the hooks sunk in and you can see the will to fight slowly draining out of Jogan's body.
Nelson will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Nelson has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Jogan has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!

Jogan wants to control his opponent's hands but Nelson gets his hands free.

Nelson looking to break Jogan's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. Jogan remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Nelson will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke!

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Nelson is working for the choke. He's slipped one arm under the chin. Jogan has to defend the other arm for all he's worth... but Nelson has managed to get that arm free too and he's tightening the choke! Jogan taps out and looks absolutely disgusted with himself. Nelson doesn't care though - he's delighted!
