The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lomachenko fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Walcott avoids it really well and circles away.
Lomachenko closes the distance but Walcott moves to the side
and Walcott connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Walcott changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Lomachenko with a poor takedown
and Walcott counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Walcott lands with a good body shot.

Tommy Walcott has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Evgeni Lomachenko.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
A low kick from Lomachenko misses
and Walcott counters with a two punch combo.
A left and a right from Walcott both land. Nice combination.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Walcott fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Walcott lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.

Lomachenko tries for a takedown but Walcott circles away easily
and Walcott counters with a right hand to the body.
Lomachenko is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Walcott.
Lomachenko takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Lomachenko shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Walcott counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Lomachenko moves to clinch but Walcott breaks away
and Walcott counters with a left to the body.
Lomachenko misses with a takedown
and Lomachenko takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Lomachenko looks winded!
A low kick from Lomachenko is predictable there
and Walcott counters with a stiff right hand.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Walcott lands a left and a right that send Lomachenko crashing to the mat, dazed. Walcott thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

Lomachenko is rocked!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Walcott circles and sees the opportunity to plant his feet and throw a really nice straight left hand that drops Lomachenko to the canvas! Lomachenko doesn't know where he is but he's trying to survive - Walcott keeps piling on the pressure and forces the referee to step in! This one is aaaaaall over!
