Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Von Cranial (ranked 982 p4p, 126 weight class) and Scott John (ranked 1418 p4p, 173 weight class). Scott John told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 15 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Von Cranial!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Scott John!
The judges for this bout are Sosuke Kotani, Ren Mimura and Yukihiro Shimada.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
John checks a leg kick.
John lands with a hook. Cranial tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Cranial lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but John circles away quickly and effectively.
Cranial lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Cranial takes one on the chin but seems OK.
A jab from John misses.
The fighters circling - Cranial throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
John throws a body punch but Cranial moves out of range.

Cranial has John up against the cage in a clinch.
Cranial working on landing some head shots here - that one got through nicely.
A short right from John.
John throws an elbow but it's blocked.
John creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Cranial's defenses.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Cranial swings away with an uppercut that misses.
John presses Cranial against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot.
Cranial lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.
Cranial tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.

That's one minute gone in the round.
John scores a nice knee to the body.
Cranial is breathing heavily.
John lands a knee to the head.
John lands an uppercut.
John is struggling to control the position.
John lands with a light punch inside.
John crunches a lovely knee into Cranial's ribcage.
Cranial dodges an elbow strike from John.

John drops Cranial with a big knee straight up the middle! Cranial is covering up against the cage but manages to escape and gets back to his feet!

Cranial is rocked!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Cranial looks up at the clock. Bad move! John lands a right hand from hell, dropping Cranial. John pounces and finishes the fight with a flurry of punches and elbows.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:37 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Scott John!
Scott John opened up his post fight interview with a scream to camera that he wants a title shot! Whether he deserves the shot will be up to the management of the organization, so I guess he'll have to wait and see.
