Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Carl Menger (ranked 3060 p4p, 356 weight class) and Mickey Maia (ranked 1962 p4p, 244 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Menger might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Shiny. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Menger on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Maia. Maia obviously looking to wear him down.
Maia lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.
Menger has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Maia misses with a wild body shot.
Mickey Maia seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Menger gets the takedown into side control.
Menger lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face.
It looks like Mickey Maia has been cut.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Maia takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Mickey Maia's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!

Carl Menger got down on his knees post fight and begged the management for a title shot. 'Please, I want that title shot so bad! Give it to me!'
Mickey Maia was interviewed post fight and said 'Shut up you bum'.
