With a record of 4 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Sam Malone!
The judges for this bout are Ben Zyskovitsi, Anni Minnemäki and Marco Blurström.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sutherland misses with a body shot
and Malone counters with a straight right hand.
Malone looks to land a left hand but Sutherland moved out of range nicely.
Malone bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Malone connects with a nice looking jab.
Malone throws an overhand right that lands on Sutherland's shoulder, as Sutherland tries to avoid the shot.
Malone takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Malone avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Sutherland throws a quick inside leg kick.
Malone thuds his right hand into Sutherland's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Malone swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Sutherland.
Sutherland fails to land with a series of punches.
Dean Sutherland seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A jab from Sutherland misses.
Malone drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Sutherland defends it well.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Sutherland digs a good body shot into Malone's ribs.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Malone has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Malone needs to keep his hands up - Sutherland had a free shot at his head there.
Sutherland slips a jab and a cross from Malone.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Sutherland is really turning it up, unleashing another crisp combination which drops Malone like a ton of bricks! The referee dives in to stop the fight, saving Malone from another fist facial!
