Randy Donnalley struggled to make weight for this fight. He only made it down to 186.7lbs at the first attempt and had to take the additional two hours to make the official bout weight. Let's see how much it's taken out of him. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Donnalley misses with a two punch combination.

Jeffries closes the distance and clinches.
Our sources have told us that Jeffries has been working on his elbows in the gym.
Donnalley is trying to break the clinch but Jeffries is controlling him.

Jeffries cracks Donnalley with a nice body shot.
Donnalley jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Jeffries walks away with a smile on his face. Donnalley gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Jeffries cracks Donnalley with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Donnalley looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Jeffries finish him?

Donnalley is rocked!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Jeffries lands hard precision jab right on the jaw that stiffens Donnalley up and sends him tumbling to the mat! The ref grabs Jeffries from behind before he can pounce. Some folks in the crowd didn't like that stoppage, but I saw Donnalley's eyes roll way back in his head, he was done.

A relieved looking Earl Jeffries thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
