Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Darren Lamb (ranked 210 p4p, 32 weight class) and Ray Malenko (ranked 217 p4p, 33 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Malenko lands with a good body shot.
Lamb lands a leg kick that knocks Malenko off balance momentarily.
Lamb doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Malenko shoots in looking for a takedown. Lamb tries to sprawl out of it but Malenko keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Lamb manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Malenko misses with a straight right.
Lamb has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Malenko fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Lamb tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Malenko was well out of range. Poor timing from Lamb.
Malenko lands a slapping body shot.
A looping hook to the body misses from Malenko. Lamb does a little dance to reset his feet.
Malenko throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Lamb fails in his attempt to clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Malenko dips to his left and cracks Lamb with an uppercut!
Malenko tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Lamb was well out of range. Poor timing from Malenko.

Lamb shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Lamb wants to control but Malenko is keeping him busy.

Malenko has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Lamb is working away from the top position though.
The fighters are battling for position here. Malenko manages to regain full guard. Nice work.
Malenko utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Lamb is fighting to break Malenko's control of his arms but Malenko is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.

Lamb looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Lamb throws a big elbow that misses.
Malenko wants to sweep here but Lamb controlling him for the moment.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Malenko has momentary wrist control but Lamb slips an elbow through the middle.
Lamb wants to control from the top but Malenko keeps moving.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Malenko looking for a triangle here. Lamb is fighting it but it looks tight! Malenko pulls the arm across and this one won't last much longer! Nope, Lamb is tapping out - this one is all over!
