Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Altair Brain (ranked 4367 p4p, 417 weight class) and Dick Pound (ranked 1368 p4p, 156 weight class). Brain comes to the cage accompanied by 300 Violin. Altair Brain has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Anni Minnemäki, Tarja Halkonen and Arvi Lind.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The fighters circling - Pound throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Brain closes the distance and clinches.
Pound scores with a shot to the side of Brain's head.
Brain lands with a left to the head.
Brain breaks from the clinch.
Pound slips under a jab from Brain.
Brain buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Brain throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Pound stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Pound lands with a good body shot.
Brain throws a lazy uppercut
and Pound counters with a nice uppercut.
Pound looks to land a right hand but Brain moved out of range.
Brain chopping away at his opponent's legs.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Pound throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

enabling Brain to counter with a crisp jab.

Brain turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Brain uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Pound.

It looks like Altair Brain has been cut.

Brain tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Pound is able to avoid easily.
Pound is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Brain.
It looked like Brain was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Pound.
Brain takes one on the button.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Pound takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.

Pound just misses with a punch to the body.
Pound checks a leg kick.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Pound, as that shot connected.
Pound has tried to improve his agility in the runup to this fight.
Brain is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Pound throws a right hand that misses
and Brain counters with a left to the body.
Brain throws out a loose jab but Pound uses good head movement to avoid it.
Brain slips a straight right by Pound.
Brain misses with a head kick.
Brain looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Brain throws a combination that misses
and Pound connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Brain clinches up with Pound and pushes him back against the cage.
Pound breaks from the clinch.
Brain keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Pound.

A big right from Pound misses.
Brain drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Pound misses with a jab to the body
and Brain counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.
Brain pivots, looking for a leg kick but Pound is out of range and Brain settles back down.
Brain feints and then cracks Pound's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Pound down.
Pound takes one to the side of the head.
Pound changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Pound throws a lazy uppercut
and Brain counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Pound sizes up Brain with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Brain tries to score with a low kick but Pound moves his leg out of the way.
Pound fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Pound swings for the body but Brain moves out of range.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Brain wants to clinch but Pound slips to the side
and Pound connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Brain looks to land a right hand but Pound moved out of range.
Pound doesn't fully commit to the body shot counter.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
Brain has managed to clinch.
Brain will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Pound up against the cage.
Pound misses with the head strike.
Brain lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.
With the fighters up against the cage, Brain throws an elbow but misses.
Pound avoids the elbow strike from Brain, against the cage.
A short left from Brain.
Brain working some nice short punches in the clinch.
Pound swings away with an uppercut that misses.
The referee is keeping an eye on Brain - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
Brain misses with the head strike.
Pound breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.

and Brain counters with a nice uppercut.
Pound lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Brain takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Altair Brain will probably get the nod.

That's time! Brain's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Brain swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Pound.
Pound ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Brain moves away.
Brain pushes Pound up against the cage in a clinch.
Brain blocking some punches.
Brain swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Pound lands a left hand that snaps the head of Brain backwards.
Pound lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Brain backwards.
Brain pushes Pound back against the cage and unloads with a body punch.
Brain displaying some good clinch control by pressing Pound up against the cage.
Pound tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
Pound is trying to force a seperation but Brain has the dominant position.
Brain lands a glancing elbow in the clinch.
A head punch blocked on the inside by Brain.
Pound working aggressively here.
Brain breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Brain throws a leg kick that is checked
and Pound counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Pound checks a low kick from Brain.
Pound lands a glancing blow to the side of Brain's head.
Pound takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Brain tries to clinch but Pound moves out of range.
Pound looks like he wants to counter punch here.
Pound bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Brain's head backwards.
Brain moves into range and connects with a jab.
Brain tries to clinch up but Pound circles away and keeps his distance.
Brain lunges at Pound with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Pound's hand.
Pound punishes Brain's body with a nice straight punch.
A punch lands to the side of Pound 's head but he takes it in his stride.

Donk. Pound catches Brain right on the button with a cross.

Oh Brain is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Pound drops Brain with a huge uppercut! Brain drops to the floor like a sack of potatoes. Pound is raining down punches and the ref stops the fight! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:10 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Dick Pound!
