Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dean Malenko (ranked 6545 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rampage Johnson (ranked 6560 p4p, 0 weight class). Malenko's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Shooter. Johnson is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Guns N' Roses - November Rain. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Malenko fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Malenko closes this distance looking for a takedown but Johnson circles away.
Malenko tries to close the distance and clinch but Johnson swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Malenko fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Johnson avoids it really well and circles away.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Malenko looks to score with a jab to the body but Johnson is just out of range.
Johnson is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here.

Malenko knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Johnson on the ground.
Johnson is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Malenko is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!

After winning the bout, Rampage Johnson thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
