The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Denille lands with a cross.
Denille cracks the inside of Nazir's front leg.
Nazir with a poor takedown
enabling Denille to counter with a crisp jab.
Nazir fails with an attempt to clinch.
Denille feints a counter leg kick.
Nazir takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Nazir has a takedown stuffed.
Nazir fails in his attempt to clinch.
Denille jabs Nazir to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Denille. Nazir shrugs it off though.
Nazir tries to grapple but his opponent circles
letting Denille counter with a right hand.
A thudding body kick lands there by Denille!
Nazir is breathing heavily.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Nazir looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Denille is fending him off so far but Nazir persists. Nope, Denille circles away and we're back to standing.
Denille flicks out a counter leg kick but Nazir steps away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Raheem Nazir. That's going to take a lot out of him.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Nazir dives in for a single leg takedown but Denille sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Denille listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut.
Denille shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Nazir eats them both and turns towards Denille to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.

It looks like Raheem Nazir has been cut.
Denille dips down and scores with a jab to the body.

Denille cracks Nazir with an uppercut from hell and Nazir crumples to the canvas, he's out! Oh no, he's recovered and he's grabbed one of Denille's legs and pulled him into guard. The ref thought about stopping it there but he's let it go - good reffing!

Nazir is rocked!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Denille's corner is telling him to maintain position.
Oh Nazir is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Denille with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
Denille seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Nazir knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Denille on the ground.
Denille passes Nazir's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Denille is sitting in half guard. He's postured up and lands a nice elbow. Oh, Nazir is hurt! He's hurt bad - Denille fires away with more strikes and the referee jumps in to save Nazir from any more punishment! Congratulations to Denille! Great finish!
