The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Sandra Marshall and Dirk Anderson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shorten tries to score a power double leg takedown but Wondrous sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Shorten somewhat.

Wondrous is pressed up against the cage. Shorten has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Wondrous down to the mat. Wondrous avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Wondrous is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Nasty Wondrous showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
