Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 12 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Brian Grimes!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 10 - 0, fighting out of New York, Theros Ironfist!
The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, William Peck and Ian Loll.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ironfist fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Grimes avoids it really well and circles away.
Grimes takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Grimes scores with a crisp jab that stopped Ironfist in his tracks.
Ironfist throws a nice looking combination but Grimes bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
A left and a right from Ironfist both land. Nice combination.


It looks like Brian Grimes has been cut.

Grimes clinches.
Grimes lands a shoulder strike.
Ironfist goes for a takedown attempt but Grimes pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

Grimes darts in and clinches Ironfist up against the cage.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Ironfist's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!

Grimes manages to break the clinch.

Grimes gets in close and instigates a clinch.

Grimes closes the distance and clinches.
Grimes keeps control of Ironfist as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Ironfist wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Grimes gets through Ironfist's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
Ironfist misses with an elbow strike.
Grimes throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Ironfists head.

Grimes breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Grimes moves into the clinch.
Grimes is looking to break free of the clinch but Ironfist has double underhooks.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Ironfist tries to break free but Grimes pushes him back against the cage.

Grimes breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Grimes darts in and clinches Ironfist up against the cage.

Ironfist misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Ironfist throws a combination that misses
and Grimes counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Ironfist misses with a head kick.

Grimes gets a clinch.
Grimes avoiding damage as Ironfist throws knees to the body.

Grimes manages to break the clinch.
Grimes seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.
Ironfist fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

Grimes clinches up against the cage.

Grimes breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Ironfist throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Ironfist misses with a double jab
and Grimes counters with a lovely straight right hand!


Ironfist is rocked!

Grimes rushes Ironfist and presses him up against the cage.
Ironfist is still on wobbly legs! Can Grimes finish him?
Grimes is defending well against a takedown attempt.
Grimes makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.

Grimes breaks from the clinch.
Ironfist pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Ironfist throws a lazy uppercut
and Grimes scores with a counter punch that sends Ironfist to the canvas! Grimes smells blood - he's punishing Ironfist with more strikes and the ref has stopped it! Ironfist has no idea where he is - he's tackled the ref... oh dear, poor guy, the crowd is in hysterics!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:23 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Brian Grimes!
