The judges for this bout are Dirk Anderson, Santiago Holmes and Peter Branson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McKenzie doesn't manage to clinch there - Somwan circles away.
Somwan throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
McKenzie is looking to counter the offense by Somwan and move into the clinch.
McKenzie attempts a low kick but it misses it's target.
Somwan connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed McKenzie momentarily.
McKenzie takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
McKenzie throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Somwan scores with a nice head shot.
Somwan lands a nice shot to the body.
Somwan smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
McKenzie is rocked!
McKenzie bobbing and weaving nicely... He's ducked under a jab and ducks again but ooooooh! Somwan comes at him with an uppercut from hell! McKenzie falls to the canvas, unconscious! This one is all over! Oh man, looking at the replay that was right on the button! McKenzie was out before he hit the floor!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:47 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Chinawoot Somwan!
After the fight, Chinawoot Somwan was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
