Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Arnold Vince (ranked 1367 p4p, 157 weight class) and Darryl Haze (ranked 3547 p4p, 386 weight class). Haze has chosen Border Patrol - Eek A Mouse as his entrance music. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A looping hook to the body misses from Vince. Haze does a little dance to reset his feet.
We've been told by Vince's head coaches at The Skating Rink that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Haze bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.

It looks like Arnold Vince has been cut.
Vince swings widly with a right hand
and Haze counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Haze throws out a loose jab but Vince uses good head movement to avoid it.
Vince connects with a crisp jab.
Vince takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Haze misses with an uppercut.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Haze, right into the meat.

Vince fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.

and Vince counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Haze thinking.
Vince takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.

Vince jabbing away but nothing is landing.

A slow jab from Vince misses its intended target.
Haze flicks out a counter leg kick but Vince steps away.

Vince tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Haze was well out of range. Poor timing from Vince.
Haze slips a straight right by Vince.
Haze looks like he wants to counter punch here.
The fighters circling - Vince throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Vince bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Haze's head.
Haze throws a big shot that misses.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Vince cracks Haze with a good jab.
Haze closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.

A swing and a miss from Vince.
Vince throws a hook to the side of Haze's head but Haze sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Vince lands with an overhand left.
Vince avoids the body shot from Haze.
Vince takes a swing at Haze's ribcage but misses.
Vince looks to score with a jab to the body but Haze is just out of range.
Haze throws out a counter right but Vince avoids it with no problem.
Haze lets loose with a powerful body kick. Vince will feel that in the morning.

and Haze counters with a nice uppercut.
Vince throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Haze appeared to try and counter that last move with a leg kick.
Haze moves out of range as Vince strikes.

and Haze counters with a nice right hand that sends Vince toppling to the canvas! Vince scrambles and gets back to his feet - can Haze finish him?!

Arnold Vince's cut is getting worse.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Haze throws a hook but Vince avoids it easily.
Vince throws a lazy uppercut
enabling Haze to counter with a crisp jab.
Vince looks to throw the jab but Haze is out of range.
A big right from Haze misses.
A little feinted left hand from Vince on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
Haze on the wrong end of a nice hook.
Vince thows a left - swing and a miss!
Haze appeared to try and counter that last move with a leg kick.
Haze connects with a good right hand that stumbles Vince. Vince circles away out of range and recomposes himself.

Arnold Vince's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.
Haze is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Vince had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.
Haze cracks Vince with a hook to the temple - Vince is on wobbly legs here! Haze swarms him with hook after hook, landing with each one! Vince falls to the canvas face first and the referee dives in to stop the fight! Haze wins by TKO!
