The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Thawne misses the shot to the body.
Thawne throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Thawne throws an off balance right hand
and Jones counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Jones scores with a body shot.
Jones moves out of range of the body kick from Thawne.
Jones tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Thawne was well out of range. Poor timing from Jones.
Jones scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.
Thawne thuds a left hand into Jones's body.
Jones cracks Thawne with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Thawne throws a body kick that misses
and Jones cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

Jones avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Thawne with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Jones to score with a decent uppercut.

Jones lands a left and a right that send Thawne crashing to the mat, dazed. Jones thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

Thawne pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Thawne throws a wild body kick that Jones sees coming a mile off.
Thawne fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Jones manages to avoid it.
Thawne will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.

Jones has Thawne up against the cage in a clinch.
Jones misses with the head strike.
Thawne tries to circle away but Jones has him pinned against the cage.
Thawne is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
Jones keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Thawne's efforts to push away.

Thawne is looking to break free of the clinch but Jones has double underhooks.

Jones breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Thawne pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Thawne.
Jones looks to score with a jab to the body but Thawne is just out of range.
Jones throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Eobard Thawne seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Nice jab there from Jones.
Jones connects with a body shot that sends Thawne's belly button to the back.
Jones throws a series of strikes that have Thawne backpedaling.
Thawne takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Thawne throws a leg kick but Jones checks it.
Jones seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance.
Thawne throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Jones fails with an attempt to clinch.
Thawne takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Jones is looking to wear down Thawne with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.

Jones throws a combination. Thawne tries to block but a couple of punches get through.

Jones is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.
Thawne takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.

and Jones counters with a left and a right... And another left! Thawne is down! He's done! The ref dives in to save him and that's the end of the fight!
