The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Finnur manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Kawa on his heels. He'll look to pass Kawa's guard now, I'm sure.
Kawa can't keep his opponent in guard - Finnur advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.

Finnur is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Kawa sees it coming and defends easily.
Finnur wants to free his trapped foot but Kawa is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Finnur throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.

Finnur is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Kawa doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Finnur.
Kawa is staying active underneath Finnur, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Kawa is looking to improve his position.
Finnur moves into full mount! Kawa won't be happy about that!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Finnur working from mount. He moves in close and looks like he might be going for an arm triangle... He's hopped off to the side and he's transitioned into an Anaconda choke. Kawa turning a nasty shade of purple. He's refusing to tap but he's gone! He's out! The ref rips Finnur off and cradles Kawa's limp body as Finnur celebrates with his corner.
