Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jonathan Davis (ranked 3005 p4p, 345 weight class) and Micky Kirby (ranked 4268 p4p, 461 weight class). Davis comes to the cage accompanied by Imperial March (L.O.D. Rage Mix). Micky Kirby will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, and Timothy Bukovac.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Kirby manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Davis on his heels. He'll look to pass Davis's guard now, I'm sure.

Davis manages to wriggle out and sneak his way back up to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched up against the cage.
Davis wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Kirby tries for a takedown but Davis manages to get underhooks.
Kirby is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
Davis gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Kirby.

Kirby shoots for a takedown but Davis saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Kirby tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Davis was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Davis shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Kirby eats them both and turns towards Davis to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.

Davis wants to get up but he can't break Kirby's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Davis gets to his feet - Kirby follows without any prompting.
Jonathan Davis seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Davis's corner calls for a 1-2. Davis obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.

and Kirby counters with a takedown into side control.
Davis's coaches at Rip Shit Riot Yoga Club have been working on his defensive grappling in preparation for this fight so let's see if he can get out of this tricky position.

Kirby is trying to ground and pound but Davis uses the momentary lack of control by Kirby to regain half guard.

Kirby closes the distance and clinches up with Davis, looking for a takedown. Kirby pushes Davis against the cage but Davis circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Kirby throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Davis was covering up waiting for the punch and Kirby finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Davis has momentary wrist control but Kirby slips an elbow through the middle.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
