Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Randy Perkins (ranked 5775 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kroner Silva (ranked 6501 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Randy Perkins!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Kroner Silva!
The judges for this bout are Luis Engracia, Edson Gomes and Emerson Jorge.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva lands a leg kick that knocks Perkins off balance momentarily.
Silva bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick.

Perkins closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Silva's guard.
Silva is wriggling around but Perkins manages to pass to half guard.

Perkins content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Perkins has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

Perkins is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Silva doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Perkins.
Perkins stalling.

Perkins trying to mount his opponent but Silva defends it.
Silva is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Perkins scores with a couple of nice shots.

Perkins decides to stand up.
Perkins has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Silva.
Silva misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Silva blocks a head kick by Perkins.

Perkins shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Perkins not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Perkins working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Perkins content to stall in guard here.

Perkins stands and steps away. Silva gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Silva looks winded!

Perkins pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Perkins moves into the clinch.
Silva dodges an elbow strike from Perkins.

Perkins gets control of Silva's arms and successfully pulls guard. Perkins will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
Perkins throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.

Perkins has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Silva doesn't defend quickly enough and Perkins has managed to lock this one up! Can Silva escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Perkins on a fantastic submission victory.
