The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Petersen throws a half hearted mid kick.
Petersen fails in his attempt to clinch.
Yamate throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.
Yamate has closed the distance and engaged Petersen in a clinch.
Yamate gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Petersen.
Yamate lands a damaging elbow.
Petersen jumps guard and drags Yamate to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
Petersen is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Petersen trying to mount his opponent but Yamate defends it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Yamate is striking from the bottom but he's now found himself mounted! Oh dear - not enough focus on defense there.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Petersen connects with a couple of good shots from mount.

Petersen throws some shoulder strikes here and then postures up. Oh, he's gone for an armbar! Yamate has his hands clasped together but Petersen breaks the hold and Yamate is forced to tap! This one is aaaaaaaaaaall over! That was lightning fast by Petersen!
