The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Huhrera closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Huhrera lands in his opponent's guard.
Jamal is trying to keep Huhrera in close.

Jamal is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Huhrera must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Jamal is in a tricky position but he's been working on his transitions down at Gorilla Warfare Academy, so we'll see if he gets out of it.

Jamal manages to regain half guard. Good work.

Jamal sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.
Jamal is staying active underneath Huhrera , who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Huhrera has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Jamal defend it? Huhrera steps over the head and cranks it - Jamal is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Huhrera !
