The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Tambua closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Tambua sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Blowkarski is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.

Tambua wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Blowkarski, who protects the arm well.

Tambua working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.

Tambua is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Blowkarski is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Tambua has hold of Blowkarski's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Blowkarski tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Tambua cranks the arm and Blowkarski screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Blowkarski, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:18 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Mukinio Tambua!
An out of breath Mukinio Tambua thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
