Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Paul Michael Levesque!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Crack Head!
The judges for this bout are , Frank Antenori and Jack Bonds.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Head moves out of range as Michael Levesque throws a body kick.
Michael Levesque looks to land a combination but Head avoids it well.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Head has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Michael Levesque displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Head.
Michael Levesque shoots in looking for a takedown but Head manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Michael Levesque's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Head steps in looking to clinch after the strikes miss from Michael Levesque.
Michael Levesque could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Michael Levesque looks to throw a body kick

and Head counters with a takedown into side control.
Michael Levesque tries to buck Head off but Head is having none of it.

Head decides to stand back up.
Head lands with a thumping leg kick.
Michael Levesque shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Head pinned against the cage. Head gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
No luck for Head with that takedown attempt.

That's one minute gone in the round.
A punch combination from Michael Levesque misses.
A nice inside leg kick there by Head. That's going to slow Michael Levesque down.

Michael Levesque throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Head tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Michael Levesque is in Head's guard.

Head pushes Michael Levesque off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.
Michael Levesque throws a sloppy head kick and Head moves out of range easily.

Head is looking for the big counter here.

Michael Levesque shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Michael Levesque was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
This has been an exciting period of action!
Head is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.
Head regains half guard.
Head is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Michael Levesque's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Michael Levesque's back!
Both fighters have adopted an aggressive gameplan on the ground!
Michael Levesque just trying to survive but Head is wriggling into a better position, looking to finish.

Head is working for a rear naked choke. Michael Levesque is not defending it well and Head has tightened it up quickly! This could be all over! Michael Levesque refuses to tap and goes to sleep, forcing the referee to intervene. A little trickle of blood came out of Michael Levesque's nose as his head slumped to the floor. That is naaaasty!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:40 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Crack Head!
During a confident post fight interview, Crack Head thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
