Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Teddy Sampson (ranked 10037 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ashley Peacock (ranked 6602 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Teddy Sampson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Ashley Peacock!
The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, Phil Schofield and Andrew Berry.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Peacock shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Sampson as he jumps to the side.
Peacock dives in for a single leg takedown but Sampson sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Sampson thinks about countering with a head kick.

Peacock has taken the fight to the clinch.
Sampson jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Peacock walks away with a smile on his face. Sampson gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Peacock lands a body shot.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Peacock tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Teddy Sampson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ashley Peacock.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Sampson drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Peacock is trying to push Sampson away but Sampson has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.

Sampson tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Peacock drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Sampson is trying to drag Peacock to the mat but Peacock just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Sampson loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Sampson will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Sampson distracts Peacock with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
Peacock should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

Peacock wants to sweep but no luck.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Peacock has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Sampson can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Peacock wants to stand but Sampson is controlling the position.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Peacock shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Sampson tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Peacock manages to circle out of the way.
Peacock fails to land the takedown.
Peacock shoots in looking for a takedown but Sampson manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Peacock's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Sampson shoots in for a takedown but Peacock shows good takedown defense.
Sampson tries for a takedown but Peacock sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Teddy Sampson will probably get the nod.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Sampson tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Peacock paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Peacock shoots in and drives through. Sampson sprawls well.
Sampson is looking for a counter combo.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Peacock.
Sampson lifts his leg as if looking to counter with a high kick.
Peacock closes the distance and clinches up with Sampson, looking for a takedown. Peacock pushes Sampson against the cage but Sampson circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
It looked like Sampson was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.

Sampson appears to be looking for a big counter.
Peacock changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Sampson tries to avoid it but Peacock manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Sampson to the ground. Sampson escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Peacock misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Peacock is breathing heavily.
Peacock will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Peacock utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Sampson wants to get up but he can't break Peacock's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Peacock wants to hit a switch here but Sampson passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Peacock there!
Peacock is squirming around, avoiding Sampson's attempts to control the action.

Sampson prevents Peacock from getting the reversal.

Sampson get's back to his feet.
Peacock tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Sampson swivels and escapes.

Sampson throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Peacock tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Sampson is in Peacock's guard.
Sampson lands a couple of decent looking shots.
Peacock avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Sampson keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Peacock's head.

Peacock has momentary wrist control but Sampson slips an elbow through the middle.
Sampson with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
Sampson is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Peacock can do to turn this around?

Sampson tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Peacock swivels and escapes.

Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!


Peacock avoids a low kick by using good footwork.
Peacock shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Sampson sprawls well. Sampson wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Peacock gets slowly back to his feet.

Peacock takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Sampson is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.

Sampson pulls Peacock into guard.

Peacock has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Sampson to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Peacock is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Sampson pulls down on the head and he's put Peacock to sleep! This one is all over!
