Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Louie Dixon (ranked 25761 p4p, 0 weight class) and Trevor Day (ranked 6627 p4p, 746 weight class). Trevor Day will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Louie Dixon!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Trevor Day!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, and Timothy Bukovac.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Dixon gets caught napping as Day dives in and scores a takedown. Dixon manages to retain guard.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Day misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Day is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Dixon is just riding it out for now. Day eventually gives up the hold.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Day is fighting to break Dixon's control of his arms but Dixon is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Louie Dixon.
I think Dixon has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
