Coming up we have a welterweight Tycoon World Grappling Championship rules bout between Szczepan Franek (ranked 7214 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tim Wonders (ranked 7215 p4p, 0 weight class). Man, I cannot wait for this one!
This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the welterweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of St Petersburg, with a TWGC record of 0 wins and 0 losses; Szczepan Franek! And in the blue corner, fighting out of St Petersburg, with a TWGC record of 0 wins and 0 losses; Tim Wonders!
The judges for this bout are Illya Tyunina, Fedor Mirinova and Ivan Kurochkin.
The fighters connect hands in the middle of the mat and we are under way.
Franek goes for a double leg but Wonders avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Wonders continues to drive forward.
Wonders instigates a clinch.
Franek jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Wonders walks away with a smile on his face. Franek gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Wonders clinches.
Franek jumps into guard, dragging Wonders to the mat.
Franek is looking for a triangle but Wonders pushes his legs off easily.
Wonders trying to control the position from guard on top but Franek is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Wonders trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Franek seems keen to control Wonders's posture.

Wonders drops back looking for a leg! Franek is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Franek manages to kick Wonders off! Wonders jumps back into Franek's guard.
Franek is trying to control the position but Wonders postures up.
Wonders trying to control but Franek is working from the bottom.
Franek is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Wonders wants to control but Franek is keeping him busy.
Wonders tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Wonders has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Wonders is looking to take a break and control but Franek is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Wonders has hold of Franek's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Franek seems comfortable defending it but Wonders has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Franek is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Franek is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Wonders couldn't care less - he's delighted!
